Local police have launched a fraud investigation into someone using a false identity to sell puppies.
Authorities warn residents to be on their guard when it comes to buying anything online, and use extreme caution when sending money to anyone for the exchange of items or goods, because occasionally callers or social media profiles are not who they claim to be.
