One person is dead and another one has been seriously injured following a rollover crash near Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a 2002 Ford Sport Trek was travelling east on McNaughton Line Sunday at around 7 a.m., when it left the road at Caledonia Road and rolled several times. Both the driver and passenger were ejected before the vehicle came to a rest and burst into flames.
The driver, a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The passenger, a 19-year-old woman, was rushed to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance before being airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.
