Chatham-Kent is looking for volunteers to sit on the Election Compliance Audit Committee ahead of this fall’s municipal election.
The committee will operate as a quasi-judicial committee and will be comprised of an auditor, an accountant, a lawyer, and other individuals with knowledge of the campaign financing rules of the Municipal Elections Act.
The municipality said the committee must be established before the 2022 municipal election on October 24.
The application form to apply for a position on the committee can be found at any municipal service centre and online by visiting the municipal website at Chatham-Kent.ca. To be considered, applications must be submitted by May 20.
