Multiple roads have been closed in Chatham following a collision involving a motor vehicle and a train.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent declared the road closures on Tuesday at around 3:40 p.m. following the crash at the CP Railway crossing on Colborne Street.

No further information about the collision has been released at this time.

The municipality said the following streets have been closed to traffic:

  • Colborne Street between Prince Street North and Princess Street North
  • King Street East between William Street and Prince Street South
  • Adelaide Street between Wellington Street East and King Street East
  • William Street between Wellington Street and King Street

Detours have also been set up to accommodate drivers in these areas.
