Students At LCCVI To Return To Class Following Threat

Students and staff will return to Lambton Central Collegiate & Vocational Institute after a possible threat prompted the school to close last week.

While the Ontario Provincial Police continue to investigate the threat, students will return to in-person learning on Monday.

The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB), in consultation with the OPP, made the decision to close the school on Friday after threatening was discovered the day before.

Police said investigators do not believe there is an imminent threat to public safety at this time.

The school board said members of the LKDSB Mental Health and Wellbeing team will be at the school on Monday to offer counselling support to staff and students if needed.
