A Chatham Township man is facing charges for attempted murder after a gun was fired several times at a Wallaceburg home.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to Shiloh Park in Wallaceburg on Saturday after witnesses reported hearing gunshots from inside the park at around 11:04 p.m.
Officers located a residence with several bullet holes and discovered that the home had been occupied at the time of the shooting. No one was injured.
Officers ultimately identified a suspect who was arrested on Sunday at around 1 a.m.
A 55-year-old Chatham Township man is now charged with two counts of attempted murder. He remains in custody following a bail hearing.
Police said this was a targeted incident and there is no threat to public safety.
