Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a train in Chatham’s east end.

Emergency crews responded to the area of Colborne Street and Princess Street after the collision at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Chatham-Kent police have confirmed that a pedestrian was struck, but the extent of the person’s injuries is currently unknown at this time.

Several railway crossings in the area have been blocked by the train as a result of the incident.
