A pair of teenagers have been charged after a man was struck with a baseball bat and robbed in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a 25-year-old man was hit with a small bat on Lorne Avenue Thursday evening, before the attackers stole the man’s bicycle and a bag containing his phone.
Police were able to identify two suspects and take them into custody.
As a result, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Chatham, are now charged with robbery. The 18-year-old is also charged with obstructing a peace officer after allegedly providing a fake name to police.
The accused have both been released from custody with future court dates.
