No major issues have been reported following the annual Port Huron Float Down this past weekend.

Coast Guard officials estimate fewer than 1000 people took part in the annual unsanctioned event on the St Clair River.

The weather may have played a role with an overcast sky and a chance of rain in the forecast Sunday afternoon.

A section of the river was closed to commercial and motorized marine traffic for part of the day as a precaution.

Officials from the US and Canadian Coast Guard were keeping an eye on the water, along with local police and other first responders on both sides of the border.
