A special treat for movie buffs.

The Chatham-Kent Film Group is welcoming Windsor-Essex writer and director Gavin Michael Booth to their October screening of his film, Last Call, at Galaxy Cinemas.

Last Call is the story of the relationship between two strangers who are thrown together in an environment of mounting crisis: Beth (Sarah Booth) is a late-night janitor who accidentally answers a call from Scott (Daved Wilkins) who believes he has dialed a suicide prevention hotline. Shot in real time and presented in split screen, last call showcases both ends of a phone call that has Beth navigating a life-changing conversation as she attempts to save Scott’s life.

There will be two showings of Last Call on Monday, at 4pm and 7pm, both will be followed by a question and answer period with Booth.

“We’re looking forward to bringing Gavin to Chatham and getting an inside look at his unique film. It’s an interesting opportunity to ask the writer/director some questions about Last Call,” said Chatham-Kent Film Group Chair, Angela Corso.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
