Charges Laid After Cadillac Stolen In Blenheim

Charges have been laid after a vehicle was stolen during a break-and-enter and Blenheim.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a garage was forced open at a Lanz Boulevard address and a 2014 Cadillac was stolen sometime overnight between Monday and Tuesday.

Following an investigation, officers located the car at a residence on Park Street in Chatham and allegedly found a man inside the vehicle. Authorities also allege he was in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The male suspect, whose age and place of residence have not been released, is now charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
