The watchful eye of a Good Samaritan has taken a dangerous driver off the road.
Provincial Police received a call shortly after 9 Wednesday night about a suspected drunk driver heading west on the 401 through Chatham-Kent.
Officers located the vehicle and the driver, a 52-year-old Wheatley man is now facing charges of driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and driving while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
The accused has been issued a 90-day license suspension and had his vehicle impounded for one week.
