Search Continues for Missing Wallaceburg Man
A community meeting is being organized to search for Brandon Sands.
People are set to gather at WDSS in Wallaceburg on Friday January 6th at 10 a.m. on the Selkirk Street side.
The search is on-going this morning as well by local authorities.
The 25-year-old Wallaceburg man dissappeared just before Christmas. Sands was last seen in Dec. 24 just before 1 a.m., at the corner of McNaughton and Gillard Streets. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Chatham-Kent police are still investigating, and members of the Chatham-Kent Fire Department have scoured the river banks as well.
Const. Michael Pearce says there is no new information.
“His whereabouts are unknown… and we have no way of knowing where he might be at this time,” he said.
Sands was last seen wearing white hoodie and blue jeans, and he left without his phone, wallet or identification.

Update on 25 year old Brandon Sands
The Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to investigate a report of a missing person.
Brandon Sands, 25, of Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg, Ontario was reported missing on December 26, 2011. He was last seen on December 23, 2011 around 3:00 p.m.
He is described as being 6’ tall, 160 lbs, brown eyes, with half of his dark brown hair shaved bald and the other half cut very short. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown running shoes, and a white sweater.
As part of ongoing efforts to locate him, the Chatham-Kent Fire Department will join the investigation this afternoon to check the riverbanks of the Sydenham River. At this point there is nothing to suggest he will be located there, but given the proximity of his residence to the river, investigators would like to rule it out.

25 year old Brandon Sands
Last seen in Wallaceburg at approximately 1am Saturday morning at the corner of McNaughton and Gillard St.
According to his mother he left without a coat, hat or his ID.
He has not contacted anyone since then. His mother says it is not like him to NOT call or come home, especially for Christmas.
He was last seen wearing a white hoody and blue jeans.
