A Chatham man is facing charges after another man was struck with a baseball bat.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance on Randolf Crescent in Chatham, at around 2:52 p.m. on Monday.

After arriving, officers learned that a fight had led to one man being assaulted with the baseball bat.

As a result, a 30-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He has since been released with conditions and a date in court next month.
