Fingerprints have helped lead Chatham-Kent Police to a suspect in a break and enter over a month ago.

On November 1st, officers responded to a break-in on Pine Street in Chatham. Authorities say the home was ransacked and about $10,000 worth of property was stolen.

Forensic evidence was collected at the scene and authorities say fingerprint records came up with a match.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of a man. Wednesday morning, the accused was located on Adelaide Street.

The 28-year-old was arrested and released with conditions and a date in court next month.
