Work Expected on James Street Friday

Downtown Wallaceburg.

After a couple of days’ delay, municipal crews will once again try to do some work on James Street in downtown Wallaceburg.

A section of the road between Creek and Nelson was expected to be shut down for most of the day Wednesday to allow for water service connection work, however the project didn’t happen as expected, and was delayed again yesterday by the weather.

Crews are hoping to be on site today between 8am and 5pm with a small detour in place at Creek Street and will follow Wellington Street to Nelson Street, and back to James Street.

Local traffic will be permitted up to the closure but emergency vehicles will not have access through the work zone.
