Bridge construction north of Wallaceburg that has been ongoing since mid-September has wrapped up just in time for the holidays.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent said the Kimball Road Bridge over Otter Creek reopened to traffic on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The road had been closed since September 19 for bridge rehabilitation, with two detours in place.
The project was initially expected to be completed by December 5, however, the concrete deck of the bridge was thicker than expected and took the contractor longer to remove.
