A suspected shoplifting incident landed a Chatham woman behind bars.
Chatham-Kent Police responded to a theft complaint at Walmart on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg just after 8:30 Wednesday evening.
The accused was gone by the time officers arrived, but with a description police were able to identify and locate the woman a short distance away.
The 38-year-old was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court, was taken to police headquarters, and held for a bail hearing.
