Local residents are being given the opportunity to provide input and share ideas about a new affordable housing project coming to Wallaceburg.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has launched an online survey for the public to have their say, as the municipality moves forward with the housing project on Westcourt Boulevard, which will also incorporate a municipal park.

The current plan calls for the creation of 60-70 affordable rent and market rent apartment units in two new buildings that will be constructed on a 4.8-acre site.

Construction is slated to begin in 2024, pending project funding.

The public opinion survey on the development will be available to residents until February 28. The survey can be found by clicking here.
