Charges have been laid following a shoplifting incident in Chatham.
Officers were called to a Grand Avenue West business just before 11 Monday morning and say a woman had taken a number of items off the shelves.
Staff recognized the accused from previous incidents and asked her to leave. However, the suspect allegedly began to yell and left the store still carrying the stolen items.
Police searched the area and found the woman.
A 50-ear-old from Chatham has now been charged with theft, possession of stolen products and failing to comply with a release order. She was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
