Officials with the local French catholic school board continue to mull over their options as they review school attendance in Chatham-Kent.

A boundary study covers the five Providence schools, including elementary schools in Tilbury, Grande Pointe, Pain Court, and Chatham, and Ecole Secondaire de Pain Court. Officials are looking into creating a standardized programming model for all schools in Chatham-Kent, shifting grade 7 and 8 students to the high school in Pain Court.

A number of community consultation meetings have been held, with one final virtual session taking place next Thursday.

A final report is expected to go back before the school council in early spring. Any changes would go into effect next fall.
