A traffic stop in Chatham has led to charges for a 28-year-man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the man was stopped by officers on Park Street at around 8:24 p.m. on Monday.

Authorities said the driver was found to be suspended from driving. A warrant had also been issued for the man’s arrest for charges of uttering threats and mischief.

The driver was arrested and taken to police headquarters. He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
