Charges have been laid after a Wallaceburg resident had their vehicle broken into.
Police responded to a call on Sylvan Court shortly after 8 Wednesday morning and say surveillance video captured a man getting into two vehicles in the driveway and removing items from each.
A 33-year-old man was identified and found a few hours later, walking on Fraser Street.
The accused has now been charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
Meantime, a Ridgetown woman has been arrested following a break-in in Chatham.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, a bike and various tools were taken from a Wellington Street West home on Wednesday.
Before officers arrived, the homeowner confronted the accused a short distance away.
Police arrived and brought the woman into custody.
The 43-year-old is facing charges of theft and possession of stolen property. She was released with conditions to stay away from the victim’s home, and will have to face the charges in court later this month.
