Art Exhibit Focuses on Climate Change

An art exhibit focusing on the environment and the impacts of climate change is coming to downtown Chatham.

Art + Climate = Change is a Community Arts Initiative open to Chatham-Kent of all skill levels. Submissions are being accepted at ARTspace on King Street West until 4:45pm on March 4. Applications can be found at tagartspace.com or picked up at the gallery.

Submitted works will be on view at ARTspace with an opening reception on March 10 at 7:00 pm

This exhibition offers a platform for artists of all skill levels in Chatham-Kent to creatively engage with this issue and visualize how we might arrive at a better understanding of our current environmental situation and how it impacts life at home.

Three Awards of Merit will be presented at the opening, with winners receiving season passes to local Conservation Areas as generously donated by the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority. A People’s Choice award of $200 will be presented as the exhibition ends on Earth Day, April 22.
