Chatham-Kent is now providing additional ways for residents to present their views and concerns to municipal council.
The municipality is now allowing council deputations to be presented virtually or by written submission.
Residents will still be able to present deputations to councillors in person, but municipal officials said providing more options improves accessibility for those who want their voices heard.
Moving forward, all deputations must also be submitted to the Clerkâs Office by noon on the day of the council meeting in order to be added to the deputation list. The previous deadline was 3 p.m.
