A Wallaceburg man is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 40 in Chatham-Kent.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the collision on the highway shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was not injured, however, police alleged he was showing signs of impairment.
Authorities allege the man failed a roadside screening test and he was taken to police headquarters for further tests.
As a result, a 24-year Wallaceburg man is charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg, and having a blood alcohol concentration over 0 mg as a novice driver.
The accused was also issued a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
