Chatham-Kent Police have laid a charge of attempted murder following a shooting in downtown Chatham.
Police were called to King Street West near Fifth Street around 1 o’clock this morning and say a 32-year-old man was allegedly shot following a confrontation with another man.
The 25-year-old accused was arrested and taken to police headquarters for a court appearance.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition
Authorities say this was an isolated incident between two people who knew one another.
