Protecting CK Residents From Scams

Local library branches will be offering virtual information sessions for residents interested in learning how to protect themselves from scams.

The “Be Scam Smart” interactive webinar will be held on June 8 at the Blenheim, Chatham, and Dresden branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library. The webinars can also be joined virtually via Zoom and at the Ridgetown Adult Center.

During the information sessions, a representative from the Canada Revenue Agency will provide tips on how to protect yourself from a scam, recognize various CRA-related scams, and what to do if you’re a victim of a scam. Helpful services and tools will also be provided.

The virtual information sessions run from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. To register, contact the CK Public Library.
