It’s another Walk Wednesday as the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent continues to raise funds and awareness to support local residents living with dementia and their families.
A month-long fundraiser kicked off in Tilbury last Wednesday and continues in Blenheim tonight.
Participants are invited to walk the Be-Fit Trail on Chatham Street West between 5:30 and 7 o’clock, find hidden objects to win a mystery prize, or purchase a blue lightbulb to shine a light on Alzheimer’s awareness. Tribute signs line the path honouring those who are living with or have been lost to the disease.
Walk Wednesday continue next week in Wallaceburg, followed by the Walk for Alzheimer’s grand finale at Kingston Park in Chatham on Saturday, May 27th.
Registration takes place in-person at each event as well as online – CLICK HERE to register or donate.
