It was a jarring sight for local residents in Muirkirk after a wind turbine burst into flames during an evening thunderstorm.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue said firefighters were called to the fire 20275 Duart Rd. at around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Fire crews arrived at the scene and secured the area.
No injuries were reported.
Lightning strikes were reported in the area at the time of the fire, however, the cause of the wind turbine blaze remains undetermined.
