Assault With a Lamp in Wallaceburg Leads to Charges

The long arm of the law caught up with a Dresden man wanted in connection to an assault in Wallaceburg last month.

On May 31st, Chatham-Kent Police say the accused went into a home uninvited and used a lamp to assault the victim. The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment and a warrant was issued for the arrest of the accused.

On Sunday, the suspect was found walking on West Street in Dresden.

The 36-year-old has now been charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling house, assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a release order. He was held pending a bail hearing.
