A funding windfall for the Dresden Rotary Club.
The service organization recently received a grant for $10,500 from the Chatham-Kent Community Foundation to help cover the cost of roof repairs at the Rotary Wheelhouse.
The congregation of the former Trinity Christian Centre gave the building to the Rotary Club in 2021 to serve the community and surrounding area.
Rotary officials say as a non-profit organization run by volunteers, capital expenses such as roof repairs have a significant impact on budgets, so the club relies on the generosity of partners like the Community Foundation, and this investment ensures the facility’s structural integrity and the safety of those who use the space.
