A symposium is taking place in Chatham this weekend, aiming to educate, inspire, and empower women and female-identifying residents in the community.

The day-long even will be split into three workshop timeslots with over a dozen guest speakers to choose from.

Among the topics being discussed include self defence, overcoming imposter syndrome, perimenopause, and women in politics, among other issues.

Admission is pay-what-you-can, minimizing barriers and allowing the event to be as accessible as possible.

All proceeds that go beyond the cost of running this event will be donated to the JoLynn Deprez Athletic Fund.

She Leads runs from 9am to 4:30pm at the Chatham Capitol Theatre with lunch provided.
