Local residents are invited to make some memories and support families living with dementia.

This is the third year for the Puddleford Tree Farm sunflower fundraiser for the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent, where visitors can wander through the fields, take pictures, and cut their own sunflowers.

It’s a cause close to the heart of co-owner Gail Whitney, whose father Gerald had Alzheimer’s. The Puddleford Tree Farm also sells hand-painted ornaments each Christmas to support the local organization.

The cost is $5 per vehicle and $1 per sunflower stem.

The Puddleford Tree Farm is located at 22896 Scane Road near Thamesville, and is open 10am-8pm daily.
