A woman wanted in connection with a break-and-enter in Wallaceburg from more than two years ago has now been arrested.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were contacted by Walpole Island police on Thursday at around 7:15 a.m., after arresting a woman on an outstanding warrant.
The warrant was issued for the 39-year-old Chatham-Kent woman following a break-and-enter at a multi-unit building on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg on January 1, 2021.
A purse was stolen during the break-in, which contained identification, and a cellphone, along with debit and credit cards. The cards were later used at three locations in Wallaceburg.
The suspect was transported to Chatham-Kent police headquarters and was held for a bail hearing.
