A family dispute has ended in charges for a Chatham man after he allegedly threatened to harm his mother.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the dispute on McGuigan Avenue in Chatham at around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Authorities said an argument between the mother and son escalated when the man allegedly damaged her phone and made threatening remarks.
The man was arrested at the scene and is now charged with mischief and two counts of uttering threats. He was taken to police headquarters and released with conditions and a date in court next month.
