Wallaceburg’s Branch 18 Legion is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary in style.
A special open house is being held tomorrow to launch a major fundraising campaign to overhaul the Margaret Avenue facility, expand the river-side patio, and add a redesigned bar and dining room.
While officials aren’t setting a financial goal for the campaign, they say the upgrades will allow the Legion to remain viable and self-sufficient for years to come.
The renovations are expected to be complete in time for the Legion’s 100th anniversary in 2026.
Tomorrow’s open house runs from 8am to 6pm.
