Some tense moments in Chatham over the weekend as Chatham-Kent Police responded to a report of someone carrying a suspected firearm.
Authorities responded shortly before 9 o’clock Saturday morning and say the suspect went into a building and was seen holding the weapon from a second storey window.
The suspect, a 15-year-old, was arrested without incident and charged with breaching a weapons prohibition and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police say there was no immediate threat to public safety.
