Ridgetown Fire Causes $600,000 in Damage

No injuries have been reported following a house fire in Ridgetown.

Crews from Ridgetown, Orford, and Chatham responded to the blaze on Main Street just before midnight and were met by heavy smoke and flames coming from both the first and second floors of the building.

Fire fighters remained on scene well into the morning, but were able to bring the blaze under control with Chatham-Kent Police and EMS standing by.

Damage is estimated at $600,000. The cause remains undetermined.
