Police are continuing to investigate after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Leamington.

The Ontario Provincial Police said a sedan was travelling on Highway 77 north of Mersea Road 5 when it collided with a pedestrian shortly before 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation with assistance from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.

Police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
