A provincial investment is supporting a new program at Lambton College that promotes youth engagement in science and technology through online learning.

The Ontario government has awarded Lambton College over $480,000 to support the “eBits for Everyone – Supporting EV and eMobility Awareness and Knowledge Development” project.

The project, which utilizes online mini-courses known as eBits,  promotes public and youth engagement in science and technology, electronic vehicle and mobility-related topics. The eBits are designed for young learners in Grades 5 to 12.

Since July, Lambton College has launched 60 Empowering Minds eBits, which have been introduced to over 1,400 youth and educators.

“eBits for Everyone” is one of 14 projects funded by the provincial government as part of the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network’s Regional Future Workforce program.
