A nearly month-long investigation has led to assault charges for Chatham Township man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were notified on November 28 at around 10:20 a.m. of an assault incident in Chatham Township.
Through an investigation, police learned a man had physically assaulted his teenage son four times between June and September.
As a result, a 41-year-old Chatham Township man turned himself in at police headquarters on Tuesday at around 5:30 a.m. He is now charged with four counts of assault and has been released with conditions and a January court date.
