A charitable foundation based out of Middlesex County has made a significant contribution in support of end-of-life care in Chatham-Kent.

The James A. Beattie Foundation recently donated $50,000 to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation to go towards the operating needs of the hospice.

This gift is one of many the Beattie Foundation has donated over the years as it continues to support seniors, specifically those at the Chatham-Kent Hospice and the Hospice of Elgin, which is currently under construction. The foundation also supports children’s charities in the region.

The Chatham-Kent Hospice requires $121,000 in donations each month to support its operating needs and ensure families have access to compassionate, end-of-life care at no cost.
