Charges have been laid following a theft from a liquor store in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a man went to the LCBO on Wellington Street West on December 27, 2023, removed items from the shelves, and left the store without paying.
Authorities were able to identify a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest when could not be located.
Officers located and arrested the man in the area of Princess Street and King Street East in Chatham on Tuesday at around 9:30 a.m.
The 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man is now charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He was released with conditions and a March court date.
