An arrest has been made after a suspicious man was seen entering vehicles in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were contacted by a concerned citizen regarding the suspicious person on Monday at around 9:15 p.m. When the man was confronted about entering the vehicles, he left the scene.
The caller kept an eye on him until officers arrived and arrested the man in the Dufferin Avenue area.
Police learned that a warrant had been issued for the man’s arrest after he failed to attend court for several weapon-related charges.
As a result, a 26-year-old Wallaceburg man has been additionally charged with failing to appear in court. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
