Night Market, Shannon Prince Are Tourism Award Finalists

A Chatham-Kent resident and an annual local event are being recognized for their support of the tourism industry.

Shannon Prince, the former curator of the Buxton National Historic Site and Museum, has been announced as a finalist for Ontario Southwest’s Luminary of the Year award as part of the Southern Ontario Tourism Conference Awards.

The Luminary of the Year award recognizes an individual whose contributions have illuminated the tourism industry through dedication, passion, and commitment.

The Dresden Night Market has also been named as a finalist for the Sustainability Trailblazer of the Year award for their reusable cup program.

The Sustainability Trailblazer of the Year Award recognizes a business, experience, tourism organization or individual that has led with an innovative strategy to improve the tourism experience through sustainable initiatives.

Award winners will be announced at the Southern Ontario Tourism Conference at the Sunbridge Hotel and Conference Centre in Sarnia on March 5.
