A local man has been arrested after he was allegedly caught trying to break into a Chatham salon.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were contacted by the owner of Tease Hair Salon at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, to report that she was watching a man on her security cameras in real time try to break into her business.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested a man in the area. Authorities said the suspect was also allegedly breaking the conditions of his imposed curfew.
The 35-year-old Chatham man has since been charged with break-and-enter, failing to comply with an undertaking and failing to comply with a probation order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
