A fundraiser featuring a popular lawn game has helped to ensure end-of-life care can be offered at no cost in Chatham-Kent.
The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation hosted its inaugural Cornhole for Hospice fundraiser on Saturday, raising a total of $33,500 for hospice care in CK.
The event was held at the Everest Convention Centre and welcomed 28 teams to compete for the cause.
The fundraiser also included a 50/50 raffle with a jackpot of $3,185.
All of the funds raised will through Cornhole for Hospice will go towards providing care at the Chatham-Kent Hospice. The 10-bed residential facility relies on donations from the community to operate.
