A man and woman from Chatham are facing charges in connection to a pair of thefts and a break-and-enter.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were contacted on January 2 following the break-in on Talbot Trail where a pick-up truck was stolen. The vehicle was recovered later that day on King Street in Chatham.
Following an investigation, officers identified two suspects and a warrant was issued for their arrest.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on Grand Avenue West in Chatham on February 28. The other suspect, a 40-year-old woman, was arrested on February 29 on Pearl Crescent in Chatham.
Officers then executed two search warrants and recovered around $52,500 worth of tools that had been stolen during two separate thefts on Erie Street North in Ridgetown and Richmond Street in Chatham.
As a result, both the man and woman have been charged with possession of stolen property and break-and-enter. The man is additionally charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
The pair have been remanded into custody with court dates this week.
