Windsor Man Found Dead In Erie Beach

A Windsor man has been shot and killed while at a home in Erie Beach.

While details remain scarce, the Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a residence on Towanda Boulevard at around 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday for a man who had sustained a gunshot wound.

Police arrived and found a 40-year-old Windsor man dead at the home.

Officers secured the scene and determined that there was no threat to public safety. While authorities are calling the death suspicious, they added that the shooting was an isolated incident.

Residents should expect to see a noticeable police presence in Erie Beach as officers conduct an investigation.

Police said further specific details about the incident are not being released at this time to “maintain the integrity of this ongoing investigation.”
